About BANKSETA Learnerships Program
The Banking Education and Training Authority (BANKSETA) was established
by the Skills Development Act of 1998 and its main purpose is to promote
BBBEE and equity in employment by
developing skills and using the BANKSETA learnerships program.
developing skills and using the BANKSETA learnerships program.
The BANKSETA learnership program believes that the point of departure is
aimed at the historically disadvantaged, and has so far worked closely
with the UNISA Bank School and has awarded several postdoctoral grants in the interest of banks. from which UNISA benefited.
South African banks spend about 4-5% of their salary on training, and
many banks have their own training centers, some of which compete with
the best universities to ensure that the quality of training is one of
the best in the world.
BANKSETA skills programs ensure that they can study in the bank for 1
year. Although enrollment and successful completion of education do not
guarantee work, 70-80% of successful students are employed by banks so
far.
At the beginning of each year, BANKSETA conducts research and an
operational skills plan to determine which positions banks are trying to
recruit, and the results are based on the results for the year.
BANKSETA uses as many banks as possible, but of course there can be no
learning in a certain area unless one or more banks are there. This
affected rural learning until Capitec and the Bank of Africa became
involved.
CPUT / BANKSETA works integrated learning (WIL) initiative
BANKSETA recently announced a collaboration between BANKSETA and CPUT called the Work Integrated Training Initiative (WIL).
Students from the departments of CPUT IT, Accounting, Internal Audit and
Marketing receive BANKSETA learnership to learn the practical and
practical skills needed to advance through the initiative.
The Civic Center and Integrated Training Center oversees this program,
which aims to give young graduates access to in-service training, work
experience and mentoring, an invaluable asset in today’s tough job
market.
The WIL initiative will benefit young graduates as well as the banking
industry; graduates gain all important work experience and access to
potential permanent jobs, and banks can have access to highly qualified,
qualified graduates to meet their recruitment needs.
National certificate in the contact center and outsourcing support learnership process
Another initiative of the BANKSETA is learnerships offered to students
with disabilities from different communities. This learnerships is part
